Big Bear Lake has it all...paddle boarding, pontoon boating, wake boarding, water skiing, inner tubing, jet skiing and kayaking! Boats, equipment and water sports lessons can be rented or booked at any one of six marinas that dot the lake's 23 miles of shoreline. Marinas are open for the spring, summer and autumn seasons.

Cool off in the summer months with dip from the shore, cast a line to reel in a range of freshwater fish, let it rip on a jet ski or paddle the lake perimeter! Find your love for the lake when you book your Big Bear getaway!

All privately watercraft (including non-motorized types) must display permits. They can be purchased at any marina.

Care For Big Bear - Adopt-A-Shoreline!

The Big Bear Municipal Water District works hard to maintain the safety of Big Bear Lake for yearly visitors and a healthy environment for the Valley's wildlife. Help BBMWD in keeping our lake clean and pristine by disposing of trash in designated bins, refraining from feeding wildlife, and adopting a shoreline!

The Adopt-a-Shoreline program is designed for volunteers to 'adopt' a section of the shoreline or a trash can, and help keep that area clean throughout the season. It is structured much like the successful Adopt-a-Highway program sponsored by CalTrans. This is an excellent opportunity for kids, adults and community groups to participate in a great outdoor activity, help the environment, and keep Big Bear Lake beautiful too! - BBMWD
